8. Sew the lining onto the material

Pinch the right sides together, then use a 1/2" seam to sew the sides and bottom together, leaving the top open.

9. Smooth the shade's edges to a smooth surface

Try sewing your knot together with a standard needle and thread to ensure it stays knotted in the future (because nylon cord can be slick).

11. Place the dowels into the small openings at the tube tape's bottom
